The booking page shows three treatments with similar names: physiotherapy (gyógytorna), manual therapy (manuálterápia) and combined therapy (kombinált terápia). The good news is that you do not have to decide which one you need. At MozgásKlinika Retek utca the recommendation follows from the assessment. This summary helps you understand what the names mean.
Physiotherapy: the active part
In physiotherapy you do the moving, guided by the physiotherapist. The personalised exercises serve to strengthen and stretch muscles and to improve movement patterns and posture. It is more than a few exercises shown once: it is a consciously built phase of rehabilitation in which strength, stability, coordination and load tolerance develop step by step.
One session lasts 50 minutes and costs HUF 22,990.
Manual therapy: the hands-on part
In manual therapy the therapist treats complaints of the muscles and joints with special hands-on techniques, mainly by releasing joint restrictions. It is a passive method: in most sessions you do not need to move actively. The aim is to increase range of motion and to ease the load on the affected areas.
One session lasts 50 minutes and costs HUF 24,990.
Why do the two often go together?
Hands-on treatment can create a better starting position, and exercise helps to build the change into your movement. This is why the clinic complements it with personalised exercise. Combined therapy does exactly that: 50 minutes, HUF 24,990, bookable in two forms.
- Combined with physiotherapy: hands-on treatment and active exercise in one session.
- Combined with physical therapy: hands-on treatment complemented by device-based physical therapy, for example TENS or ultrasound.
How is the choice made?
The same symptom can appear alongside different functional problems, so the choice does not depend on where it hurts. After the first assessment the physiotherapist tells you which treatment is recommended and why. The plan follows the levels of the MozgásPiramis®, so the mix of treatments can change as you progress.
The prices come from the clinic’s Salonic booking page and were checked on 8 October 2026. The full list is on the prices page, and all treatments are listed on the services page.
